PANAMA ADVENTURE 2012

If your looking for the ultimate fishing adventure, come join Captain Kevin Osborne and crew along with Panamanian local Captains and guides aboard the 116-foot Intrepid in Panama during the spring of 2012. Your fishing and cruising "All Inclusive" 8-day limited load adventure begins once you arrive in Panama City via Tocumen International Airport. Upon arrival into Panama, you will be greeted by our travel consultants to begin your "Elite Five Star" experience. You will be escorted thru Customs to the Airports VIP Lounge. Relax and enjoy Complimentary beverages as they process your luggage and passport information.

Your group will then board a Chauffeured bus or van to meet the Intrepid just 30 minutes away. If you are arriving prior to departure date arrangements can be made for a shuttle to our host hotel the Country Inn Suites www.countryinn.com located 5 minutes from Balboa Yacht Club on the Canal. Boarding on departure day is 1:00 PM; you will be escorted to the dock and board the "Intrepid." Departure is scheduled for 3:00PM and your fishing journey begins.

Once on board, you'll travel in luxury to some of the world's most pristine fishing and scenery in the Gulf of Chirqui. While underway our Captains will conduct an introduction and safety seminar. While passengers are relaxing and getting to know each other the Captains and crew will hold several seminars on fishing and tackle rigging to prepare Anglers for what can be expected on your fishing and fun adventure!

Your travel will cover approximately 250 miles to the world famous "Hannibal Bank", located very close to Islands of Coiba, Montuosa, Jicaron and Landrones just a few of the 38 islands targeted in Coiba National Park.

There you'll have the opportunity to join up with local Captains and Deckhands aboard the three, 28-32ft. sportfishers and take in some of the area's most phenomenal fishing with the native guides. Captains will have communication with the Intrepid at all times. The sportfishers will be fully equipped with rods, reels, terminal tackle and bait tubes for the live bait all included in the cost of trip, except gratuities. Chefs aboard the Intrepid will prepare a lunches and beverages for your day of fishing. Passengers will be rotated 2-3 per sportfisher throughout the 5 days of fishing. You will also be fishing "Intrepid Style" in comfort off our World Class Sportfishing Yacht.

Offshore fishing areas include the famed Hannibal Bank, 50 miles west off the Panama Coast an enormous 3000 ft. oceanic shelf, this edge offers one of the most productive oceanic fish habitats in the world. Marlin exceeding 1000 pounds and "Cow Tuna" ranging from 200 to 300 pounds, along with Wahoo and Dorado are abundant on this bank. Special release mechanisms will be used to safely release all billfish unharmed. We do encourage "Catch and Release" on all species but you may keep Tuna, Wahoo and Dorado caught on the Hannibal Bank. The crew will fillet, vacuum pack and flash freeze your catch aboard the Intrepid. Each passenger may bring home up to 50 pounds in one insulated fish shipping box.

Inshore fishing around the shorelines of Coiba Island and the other park islands and Islets for Jacks, Roosterfish and the world-famous Cubera Snapper are just a few of the area's offerings. The National Park area is a protected and restricted to "Catch and Release" only. Permits are included in your fishing package. Imagine watching Snapper, Roosterfish and Jacks explode on top water plugs! Various mangroves and near shore fishing may include Snook. For all the "Fly Fishermen" Islas Rancheria through Bahia Damas often offer smoother water easier to entice larger Snapper, Jacks and Snook on your favorite fly.

You will visit and explore unspoiled islands that few humans have experienced and see Howler Monkeys families, Scarlet Macaws, Crested Eagles in the canopy of the jungle. Swim, snorkel on dozens of secluded beaches with white tan and zebra sand. Snorkel and see Humpback Whales, Sea Turtles and giant Rays.

Time off from fishing will be spent relaxing on the spacious Intrepid. The cuisine, as customary on the Intrepid, will be nothing short of spectacular prepared by Chef's Paul and Patrick, savor exquisite meals, homemade breads, pastries and desserts.

Your voyage back to Panama City will include an overnight stay at the Country Inn located on the famous Panama Canal. Passengers are then free to extend their trip at their expense to see more of beautiful Panama, or have our chauffeured bus service shuttle you back to the airport for your departing flight.

Our "Trip Coordinator" Peter Neal will escort you thru your entire trip making it a relaxing, enjoyable experience. If your would like to extend your stay, Peter can arrange eco-tours of jungle, Peacock Bass fishing on Lake Gatun, City tours or Canal tours just to mention a few.

The Intrepid also is available for private charter, family trips, corporate retreats, or groups of friends just wanting to explore. The Intrepid team looks forward to seeing you in Panama for your "Trip of a Lifetime!"
